Manufacturing solutions for Workcube: MES, scheduling, quotation and cost
Version 1.0 — Last updated:
What does an ERP-integrated MES and scheduling setup look like on Workcube? It splits into three jobs. MES for Workcube turns shop-floor production and downtime reports into Workcube records. WorkPlanner for Workcube builds the schedule from Workcube data with Novalab's scheduling engine. WAMS Quotation & Cost Management prices make-to-order parts from their own dimensions.
Gramoni, a Turkey-based Workcube partner, builds three add-ons that connect the shop floor, production scheduling and quotation costing to Workcube ERP, a Turkish ERP platform: MES for Workcube, WorkPlanner for Workcube and WAMS Quotation & Cost Management. All three write their results into Workcube's own records. WAMS stands for Workcube Advanced Manufacturing System.
Which add-on answers which question?

|---|---|---|---|
| Question | What was produced, and what stopped? | What runs on which machine, and when? | What does this part cost, and what do we quote? |
| Writes to Workcube | Production results, output and consumption vouchers, breakdown records | Plan table, Gantt chart, gross and net material requirements | Quote, product card, multi-level BOM |
| Who it is for | Manufacturers with trex Dijital's MES on the floor, or planning one | Workcube users producing by work order and routing | Make-to-order and project manufacturers |
| What it does not do | OEE dashboards, quality control, scheduling | Demand forecasting, order promising | Production planning, MRP, CAD/CAM |
| Pricing model | Perpetual per-server licence + annual maintenance (LYKP) | Annual subscription | Per-server licence |
MES for Workcube
MES for Workcube connects Workcube's production planning module to the shop-floor MES or data-collection system. It sends work orders to the floor and turns production and downtime reports into real production, stock and breakdown records in Workcube.
What it does
- Sends work orders and operations to the floor from one screen.
- Creates the production result and operator time from start/finish reports.
- Posts production output and consumption vouchers automatically.
- Opens a breakdown record on the machine asset card when a machine stops.
- Logs every request.
- Runs on WEX, with no separate server.
Which MES it works with
Today it works with trex Dijital's shop-floor MES. The Workcube side is not written for one particular MES, so a different MES would not mean rewriting the ERP side.
What it does not do
OEE calculation or dashboards, lot and serial traceability, quality control, machine data collection, maintenance planning and scheduling.
WorkPlanner for Workcube
WorkPlanner for Workcube brings production scheduling inside Workcube. The scheduling engine is Novalab's.
What it does
- Opens Workcube's BOMs, routings, machines and working calendars to the scheduling engine; the data is already in Workcube, so there is no separate integration project.
- Scenarios and the order pool are set up on a Workcube screen.
- A pre-check lists missing data and the screen where it can be fixed.
- The result is a Workcube record: plan table, Gantt chart, warnings, gross and net material requirements, order coverage.
- Takes shift and break calendars into account.
Whose engine is it?
Novalab's. The engine's capabilities apply when it runs integrated with the Novalab engine.
What it does not do
Demand forecasting and order promising. It does not write work orders or purchase requests back to Workcube.
WAMS Quotation & Cost Management
WAMS Quotation & Cost Management is a Workcube ERP add-on for make-to-order manufacturers. A cost recipe derived from the part's own dimensions becomes a priced quote, and an accepted quote becomes a Workcube product card and multi-level BOM in one step.
What it does
- Reusable cost recipes by part family.
- Quantities derived from dimensions, weight, cavity count and scrap.
- Prices from Workcube price lists, category prices and contract exceptions.
- Estimated and actual cost side by side, with role-based visibility.
- An accepted quote becomes a product card, a multi-level BOM and a specification version in one step.
What it does not do
Production planning, work orders, MRP, purchase requests, quality control and CAD/CAM.
How digital are Turkish enterprises?
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), 28.3% of Turkish enterprises with 10 or more employees used ERP software in 2025. The share rises with size: 23.6% for 10–49 employees, 46.0% for 50–249 and 76.5% for 250 or more. In the EU the 2025 figure was 46.45% (Eurostat; both count enterprises with 10 or more employees, and Eurostat excludes the financial sector).
- enterprises using ERP, Turkey 2025 (TÜİK)
- 28.3%
- enterprises using ERP, EU 2025 (Eurostat)
- 46.45%
- enterprises using AI, Turkey 2026 (TÜİK)
- 14.0%
- enterprises using AI, EU 2025 (Eurostat)
- 20.0%
AI adoption is moving fast. The share of Turkish enterprises using at least one AI technology rose from 7.5% in 2025 to 14.0% in 2026 (TÜİK). In the EU it was 20.0% in 2025 (Eurostat).
Two things follow. Most small and mid-sized enterprises in Turkey do not run ERP yet. And for a company that already does, the next step is connecting the shop floor to it. The international ISA-95 standard (IEC 62264) describes that connection: MES sits at level 3, business management at level 4, and the standard deals mainly with the interface between the two. MES for Workcube works at that interface, sending work orders down from Workcube to the floor and turning shop-floor reports back into Workcube records.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate MES if I already run Workcube?
Workcube holds the plan and the records; an MES collects what actually happens on the shop floor, machine by machine. MES for Workcube does not replace an MES. It connects one to Workcube, sending work orders to the floor and turning production and downtime reports into Workcube records.
Can WorkPlanner replace a standalone APS tool?
WorkPlanner brings scheduling inside Workcube. BOMs, routings, machines and working calendars go to Novalab's scheduling engine, and the schedule comes back as work orders, material requirements and a Gantt chart in Workcube. It does not do demand forecasting or order promising, so check whether you need those first.
Which MES systems can MES for Workcube connect to?
Today it works with trex Dijital's shop-floor MES. The Workcube side is not written for one particular MES, so if the MES changes, the ERP side does not have to be rewritten. Connection to other MES products is not offered today.
Is the quotation tool suitable for one-off engineered products?
Yes, that is who it is for. WAMS Quotation & Cost Management serves make-to-order and project-based manufacturers such as mould, machinery, conveyor and industrial bag filter makers. Quantities and prices are derived from each part's own dimensions. It is not meant for catalogue products.
Can we start with one add-on and add the others later?
Yes. The three are separate Workcube add-ons with separate pricing. MES for Workcube is a perpetual per-server licence with annual maintenance, WorkPlanner for Workcube an annual subscription, and WAMS Quotation & Cost Management a per-server licence. Start where your shop floor drops out of Workcube.
